When panic hits

One tap. Box breathing. Five-senses grounding. Land in 60 seconds.

SOS Mode pairs Box Breathing with 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding into a single guided sequence — the two techniques most clinicians reach for when anxiety spikes. No menus. No setup. Just a soft circle that paces your breath.

  • Available offline — no signal needed.
  • Customisable sequence — swap or remove steps.
  • Ends with a gentle "How did your mood change?" check.
Toolkit screen with a clay-coloured SOS Mode card reading 'Box Breathing + 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding, right now'.

Meet Kit

A friend who listens, suggests, and never lectures.

Kit is your CBT-informed AI companion. It learns your patterns from your journal entries and check-ins, so when you write "my chest tightens whenever I think about her," Kit doesn’t hand you a generic affirmation — it offers a grounding exercise, right there in the chat.

Trained on CBT, not motivation
Cognitive reframing, grounding, and gentle inquiry — not platitudes.
Learns your patterns
Uses your journal entries and mood data to give responses that actually fit your week.
Honest about its limits
Every chat reminds you Kit is a companion, not a therapist — and points to humans when you need them.
Stays calm with you
Your messages aren’t used to train public AI models. Ever.
Conversation with Kit titled 'Missing my girlfriend' — Kit responds with empathy and embeds a 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise card.

Inside the kit

Small tools for the moments that matter.

Everything you need to steady yourself — nothing you don’t.

Grounding

Walk yourself back to the room.

5-4-3-2-1 grounding turns each sense into a tap. No typing, no judgement — just notice and continue. Skip a step if you need to. End early if it’s enough.

  • See, touch, hear, smell, taste — one sense per screen
  • About 3 minutes, fully tactile
  • Available offline
5-4-3-2-1 grounding screen showing a 2×2 grid of soft cards labelled "Things you can TOUCH" — first card is checked, second is dashed and prompts "Tap".

Journal

Speak when typing is too much.

Voice journaling for the days words won’t come on a keyboard. A soft "Listening…" timer, a single tap to stop, and Kit reads what you said and responds with care.

  • Up to several minutes per entry
  • Kit reflects patterns back gently
  • Switch to typed entries anytime
Journal voice recording screen showing "Listening… 3:53" with a sage circular pause button and "Tap to stop" hint.

Insights

See what helps. See what hurts.

A weekly view that surfaces patterns softly — average mood, exercise count, mood trend, and an activity heatmap. No data dashboard energy. Just the things that matter.

  • Mood trend over 7, 30, or 90 days
  • Activity heatmap by day and week
  • A "Weekly Insight" written by Kit
Your progress dashboard with stat cards (3.4 avg mood, 7 exercises this month), a 7-day mood trend bar chart, and an activity heatmap.

Mindful Walking

A walk that calms instead of distracts.

Five guided steps — ground yourself, walk slowly, sync your breath, open your senses, arrive here. Indoors or outdoors, any space where you can take a few steps.

  • About 7 minutes, paced for you
  • Soft circle visual + step-by-step prompts
  • Ends with a mood check-in, not a leaderboard
Mindful Walking step "Ground yourself" with a soft sage circle around a mountain icon, a 0:51 countdown, and the prompt "Stand still for a moment. Feel the weight of your body through your feet."

CBT Tools

Challenge a thought without arguing with yourself.

Thought Reframing walks you through identify → evidence for → evidence against → balanced, the way a therapist would. Ten minutes. No wrong answers.

  • Four-step CBT structure
  • Saves to your journal automatically
  • Ends with an "Original ✗ → Balanced 💡" comparison
Thought Reframing intro screen listing four steps: identify the thought, evidence for, evidence against, and balanced thought. Big "Start reframing" button at the bottom.

After every exercise

Proof that something just shifted.

Each exercise ends the same gentle way: "How did your mood change?" A before / after card lets you see the small win — or notice when something didn’t help. Both matter.

  • Mood-change card after every breath, walk, or grounding
  • Five-mood scale (Bad → Great)
  • Optional follow-up: talk to Kit, write about it, or do it again
Outcome screen "Well done — 1 min 4 sec of Box breathing" with a Before "Anxious" (clay) → After "Tap to set" mood-comparison card and follow-up actions: Talk to Kit, Write about this, Do this exercise again.

Patterns, gently surfaced

The small wins. The hidden triggers. Both quietly counted.

Anxiety Kit notices the patterns you’re too close to see — like "second time this week you mentioned missing someone" — and turns them into one calm sentence at a time.

Journal entry "Feeling low" with a voice waveform, body text "I'm missing my girlfriend today and it has been a three weeks distance…", relationship tags, and a Kit reply card. Below, a clay pattern card titled "RELATIONSHIPS" reads "This is the first time in recent entries that you've mentioned missing someone."

Pattern cards in your journal

Kit reads between your entries and surfaces gentle observations — never alarms, never push notifications mid-spiral. Just a small card, when there’s actually something useful to say.

Weekly insights, written like a friend

"Two short nights, two harder days. The rest of the week sat at Okay. The link is real — you’re already noticing it. Next week: phone outside the bedroom after ten. Smallest change, biggest payoff."

Your progress dashboard showing a 7-day mood trend bar chart, an activity heatmap, and a Weekly Insight card written by Kit reflecting on sleep and harder days.

A streak for showing up, not perfection

Mood check-ins, exercises, journal entries — anything counts. Miss a day? The streak is patient. The point isn’t the number. It’s noticing yourself.

Conversations, not chat threads

Every Kit conversation is named, pinned-able, and tagged Resolved, In progress, or Intense — so the hard weeks aren’t lost in scroll.

On your home screen

Help is one tap away, before the app even opens.

Anxiety Kit ships with a family of iOS widgets in three sizes — small, medium, and large — so the SOS sequence and a "Breathe with Kit" reminder live where you actually look first.

Small
Quick "Breathe with Kit" reminder. Tap to start.
Medium
SOS Mode launcher with the full sequence preview.
Large
Kit greeting + one-tap entry into the toolkit you need.

iOS widgets available at launch. Android quick-tile and home-screen shortcuts coming next.

iPhone home screen with three Anxiety Kit widgets stacked: a large SOS Mode card, a small Breathe with Kit reminder, a medium SOS Mode shortcut, and a wide Breathe with Kit card featuring the Kit mascot.

Crisis support

Always free. Never behind a paywall.

Your emergency contacts and local crisis hotlines are one tap away from anywhere in the app — even if your subscription has lapsed, even if you’ve never paid a cent. This is non-negotiable.

  • Save up to three personal contacts — partner, therapist, friend.
  • Local hotlines for your region surfaced automatically (e.g. 988, SOS Voz Amiga, Linha 1411).
  • Tap to call or text. No menus, no friction.

Anxiety Kit is a self-care companion, not an emergency service. If you’re in immediate danger, please call your local emergency number — 112 in the EU, 911 in the US — or a crisis line such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Emergency contacts screen with a soft terra callout reading "These contacts are always available, even without a subscription. Tap to call or text during a crisis." Below: Sam (partner), Dr. Martinez (therapist), Sofia (friend) — each with Call and Text buttons. A "Hotlines in your region" section lists Linha Nacional de Prevenção do Suicídio (PT 1411) and SOS Voz Amiga.

Private by design

Your inner life is not a dataset.

Anxiety has enough surveillance already. We built Anxiety Kit so you don’t have to add the app to that list.

Encrypted, end to end

Your journal entries, voice notes, and chats with Kit are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. The only person who can read them is you.

Never sold. Ever.

We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t use your content to train public AI models. Your inner life is not a product.

Yours to delete

One tap to delete a journal entry. One screen to delete your data. One screen to delete your whole account. We confirm in 30 days, in writing.

Read the full Privacy Policy or delete your data at any time.

FAQ

Honest answers, no fine print.

If something’s missing, write to hello@anxietykit.app. We read everything.

Is Anxiety Kit a replacement for therapy?
No, and we say that out loud. Anxiety Kit is a self-care companion built on CBT-informed techniques — grounding, breathing, mood tracking, and reframing. Kit, our AI, is honest about its limits in every conversation. If you’re working with a therapist, the app is meant to support that work, not replace it.
What’s free and what requires a subscription?
SOS Mode, basic breathing exercises, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, text journal entries, your streak, emergency contacts, and crisis hotlines are always free. Anxiety Kit PRO unlocks unlimited Kit conversations, voice journaling with AI feedback, advanced exercises like Resonance Breathing and Mindful Walking, and the weekly insights dashboard. There’s a 3-day free trial, no credit card needed to start.
Is this only for iPhone?
Anxiety Kit is built for both iOS and Android. iOS launches first, with home-screen widgets in three sizes. Android follows shortly after with quick-tile and shortcut support.
How does Kit, the AI, actually work?
Kit is trained to use cognitive behavioural techniques — reframing thoughts, gentle inquiry, and grounding suggestions — and to draw context from your journal entries and mood data so its responses fit your actual week. Your messages are processed by our AI provider but are never used to train their public models. Kit reminds you in every chat that it’s a companion, not a therapist.
What happens to my journal entries and voice notes?
They’re yours. Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, accessible only to you, never sold, never used to train public AI models. You can delete a single entry, all your data while keeping your account, or your account entirely — and we confirm deletion in writing within 30 days.
What if I’m in crisis?
Anxiety Kit is not an emergency service. If you’re in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please call your local emergency number (112 in the EU, 911 in the US) or a crisis line such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Inside the app, your saved emergency contacts and local hotlines are one tap away from anywhere — and they’re always free, even without a subscription.
Who is Anxiety Kit for?
Adults (16+) who deal with anxiety, panic, overthinking, work stress, social anxiety, sleep issues, or general worry — and want gentle, evidence-informed tools they can reach for in 60 seconds. It’s especially loved by people who’ve tried meditation apps and found them too generic, or therapy apps and found them too clinical.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Google Play account and you can cancel anytime — at least 24 hours before the next renewal. Crisis support and the free tier remain available even after cancellation.
