This Acceptable Use Policy explains how you may — and may not — use Anxiety Kit. It applies to everyone who uses the app or the website, and forms part of our Terms of Service. Breaking these rules can result in your account being suspended or terminated.
1. The spirit of the thing
Anxiety Kit exists to help people manage anxiety with care. Use it to care for yourself; don’t use it to harm yourself, harm others, or abuse our systems. If something feels like it’s in a grey area, please write to hello@anxietykit.app — we’d rather have a conversation than ban anyone.
2. You agree not to
Harm yourself or others
- Use the Service to plan or facilitate harm to yourself or anyone else. If you’re in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis line (112 in the EU, 911 in the US, 988 in the US for suicide and crisis, SOS Voz Amiga or Linha 1411 in Portugal). Kit is not built for emergencies.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse anyone — including our staff via support channels.
Break the law
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Use the Service to engage in fraud, money laundering, or illegal transactions.
Abuse Kit (the AI)
- Try to extract or copy Kit’s underlying prompts, model weights, or any internal system details.
- Use Kit to generate content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or that targets minors.
- Use Kit to generate medical advice that you then represent as professional medical advice to others. Kit is a self-care companion, not a clinician.
- Try to circumvent rate limits or fairness controls. We apply reasonable daily and monthly limits on Kit conversations and other AI-powered features to keep the Service available for everyone. Limits are visible inside the app and may change.
Abuse our systems
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities without authorisation. To report a vulnerability, email privacy@anxietykit.app.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service.
- Use bots or other automated systems beyond normal personal use.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
Misuse the Service commercially
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or any of its content without our written permission.
- Share your account credentials with others, or use the Service on behalf of multiple people from one account.
- Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or any form of bulk outreach.
3. Crisis content and safety
If we detect content suggesting imminent danger to yourself or others, Kit will surface a soft prompt with crisis resources and your saved emergency contacts. We may, in extreme cases, escalate matters to authorities if we believe there is a serious risk to life. We will only do so when we genuinely believe it is necessary to protect human life and where local law allows or requires it.
4. Reporting abuse
If you encounter behaviour that violates this policy — for example, a Kit conversation you find harmful, or someone misusing a shared Anxiety Kit context — please email hello@anxietykit.app. We investigate all reports and respond within a few working days.
5. Enforcement
We may take any of the following actions, depending on the severity of the violation:
- Send a warning.
- Apply temporary feature limits.
- Suspend access to specific features (such as Kit).
- Terminate the account.
- Cooperate with law enforcement when legally required or when there is a credible threat to life.
Where reasonable, we’ll let you know which rule was broken and how to appeal. You can always delete your account yourself, even after a suspension.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the app evolves and as we learn from real-world use. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated inside the app or by email.
